Your Role:

As the Vice President of Engineering, you will assume a pivotal position in our organization, orchestrating the strategy, execution, and leadership of our engineering endeavors. Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Leadership: Crafting and implementing a comprehensive engineering strategy that aligns with our company's ambitious growth plans.

Team Development: Identifying, hiring, and nurturing engineering talent, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Resource Planning: Own the resource planning for the engineering team to make sure we have an efficient supply of development capacity to meet our project goals

Process Optimization: Enhancing our agile development practices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions at a swift pace.

Technology Vision: Keeping abreast of the latest technology trends and innovations in fintech, driving continuous improvement and technological advancement.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating closely with other departments to ensure seamless product development and launch.

Cost Management: Efficiently managing departmental budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.

Your Background:

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Solid background and proven experience in SaaS and product development.
• Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in agile environments.
• Demonstrated history of successfully managing resource planning for a sizable team.
• 10+ years of experience in managing software engineering teams and IT projects.
• Experience in building and scaling high-performance software systems.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of software engineering, coupled with exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both Swedish and English.

Site and language

Hybrid, On-site in Malmö, Sweden 50 %

We have an office in central Malmö, and even though we offer a hybrid-work model we encourage our employees to come in to collaborate in person. To be able to lead the team we expect you to be present at the office to a greater extent.

We speak English in the development organization. Swedish is the primary language at the office and for the rest of the organization.
