You will be part of the Process Control Platform, a business unit within ABB's Industrial Automation business area that is responsible for the development, marketing and sales of automation products – hardware and software – as well as for monitoring, control and optimization. The unit has automation products for all types of industries and digitalization provides unique opportunities to help customers increase their plant's productivity, reduce maintenance costs and energy use.

Your responsibilities

  • Your main task will be to provide technical support on the System 800xA with a focus on AC 800M Control & I/O to ABB colleagues around the world.
  • You provide support mainly through consultation and advanced troubleshooting from the office and sometimes travel may occur as further analysis on site is sometimes necessary.
  • You handle incoming cases regarding suspected product defects, e.g. by searching in various databases, analyzing log files, connection to customers and connection in the lab.
  • You have daily contact with R&D for further management and troubleshooting.
  • You have a free role with responsibility and can influence your working day. The role includes independent work interspersed with dialogue and exchange with colleagues.
  • Be a key player in our global support network such as the Center of Competence.
  • You get to work with several different products, functions, applications and tools in a varied everyday life where you are constantly given the opportunity to develop.
  • Be involved in the development of new products and technologies such as Next Generation Control.
  • Share ABB's core values of security and privacy, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while feeling accountable to your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • You have a great interest in technology, a technical education. An engineering degree is an advantage.
  • You work with System 800xA, AC 800M, S800 I/O, Select I/O and have experience with networks and Microsoft products.
  • You have experience from delivery projects, testing, service or technical customer support in Industrial Automation.
  • You are a positive problem solver who likes to collaborate, is curious and willing to both learn new things and share your knowledge.
  • You speak and write fluently in Swedish and English and find it easy to communicate and collaborate with different types of people.
