Are you a technical leader with deep expertise in cloud-native architecture and scalable platforms? At Telavox, we’re building the future of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), and we’re looking for someone who’s driven to make an impact. As our UCaaS Platform Architect, you'll be evolving our platform to meet the demands of large service providers and operators. You'll define and implement a modern, API-first architecture that enables partners to build and integrate innovative communication services. This is a strategic and hands-on role where you’ll collaborate closely with engineering teams, product managers, design leaders, and senior stakeholders to bring the technical vision to life. As a UCaaS Platform Architect at Telavox, you’ll be driving the technical vision behind our platform. Your mission is to define and evolve a scalable, resilient, API-first architecture that enables our partners and large service providers to build innovative, integrated communication services. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and senior leadership to translate high-level vision into robust architecture. You’ll be a thought leader in our organization, bringing architectural strategy, hands-on guidance, and a deep understanding of the communication space to everything you do.

• Developing and maintaining a modern, future-proof architectural roadmap for Telavox’s UCaaS platform

• Designing highly scalable, secure, and resilient systems built on cloud-native principles and microservices

• Leading the API strategy, including design, governance, documentation, and lifecycle management

• Partnering with cross-functional teams to turn business needs into technical solutions that scale

• Staying ahead of trends in UCaaS and telecommunications, including protocols like SIP, RTP, and WebRTC

• Evaluating emerging technologies and guiding “build vs. buy” decisions

• Mentoring and supporting development teams to ensure consistent and high-quality implementation

• Collaborating with leadership on technical direction and aligning it with product and company strategy

You’re a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a passion for shaping large-scale systems. You enjoy solving complex architectural challenges and making decisions that have real impact, not only on our platform, but on how our partners build their businesses. You love working with others to drive clarity, share knowledge, and deliver real results.

• 8–10+ years of experience in software architecture, with a strong focus on API-driven and cloud-native systems

• Expertise in UCaaS, telecommunications, or similar communication platforms

• Deep understanding of relevant technologies and protocols (SIP, RTP, WebRTC, REST, GraphQL, etc.)

• Experience in designing and evolving distributed cloud-native architectures, ideally in complex, large-scale environments

• Proficiency in building scalable, secure, and resilient systems using modern tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, SQL/NoSQL)

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, you’re comfortable influencing across disciplines

• Experience with high-volume, high-availability systems and performance optimization techniques

• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into strategic decisions that support business growth

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile environments and guiding development teams through architecture best practices

• A background in mentoring, tech leadership, or cross-team architectural alignment.

• Experience working directly with large service providers or operators.

• Familiarity with API ecosystems and partner integration strategies.

• An eye for security and a deep appreciation for system reliability and performance
