Uniper is now seeking a Central Data Privacy Coordinator who will be based at Uniper's Swedish headquarters in Malmö.

Your responsibilities

This role is located in Sweden but reports to the Head of Privacy who is located in Germany. The core Data Privacy team is located in various locations, covering the global privacy compliance of the Uniper group and is supported by in-business local Data Protection Coordinators (DPCs) in all the business units and countries that Uniper is operating in.This role will have both central and local (Swedish) components and will work closely with the Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) in Sweden in particular.

Your main task and responsibilities will encompass to;

- Create and maintain a relationship with the local data protection coordinators in Sweden to support the privacy compliance of Sweden in particular, together with the DPO of Sweden

- Handle the fulfilment of data subject rights (all markets) where necessary with language support from local data protection officers and coordinators

- Support the Head of Privacy with organizational work, such as creating presentations and graphics for management, organizing team meetings and workshops

- Support archival and maintenance of documents in Sharepoint or Data Protection Management System (“DPMS”) tools for all markets

- Organizing and coordinating DPC meetings

- Create informational news articles for the internal communcation tool and maintain the communication sites for the team

- Support the whole team in documenting processes in selected process documentation tools and Records of Processing Activities in the DPMS tools

- Cascade information from the central and Swedish teams to the various business units and local Data Protection Coordinators and vice versa

- Maintain overview of all the entities within Uniper and privacy housekeeping associated with them such as registering and de-registering data protection officers

- Coordinating Audits

- Organize trainings of various levels

Uniper is part of Sweden's critical infrastructure and our operations are covered by, among other things, rules related to protective security, export control and nuclear non-proliferation. We will therefore carry out security clearance of all positions and complement with register control for security classified positions, according to the Protection Security Act. Uniper is part of Sweden´s vital societal functions and critical infrastructure which is why this position may be subject to wartime placement. Health and drug tests are performed if applicable.

Your profile

To succeed in the role, you need to have the following knowledge and experience;

Essential

- Fluent English and Swedish is mandatory since you will have many interfaces with colleagues in both Sweden and in other countries

- Professional fluency in German on top is a strong bonus

- Willing to travel several times a year out of Sweden

Desirable

- Minimum 2 years of data protection work or as a paralegal/legal environment is strongly preferred

- Certificates in data privacy are strongly preferred. For the right candidate we can invest in the certification and training

- Good at stakeholder management and communication
