About the area – Retail Concept

Retail Concept is responsible for protecting, expanding, and developing the IKEA Concept and the IKEA Brand in both existing and new markets. Our team defines and drives the frameworks, guidelines, and operating models that support franchisees in delivering a consistent and high-quality omnichannel retail experience. We work across areas such as Brand & Marketing, Expansion, Learning, and Retail Experience to continuously innovate and optimise IKEA’s global retail operations.

About the job

As Digital Product Leader, you will be responsible for leading the development and operations of a digital product, aligning commercial strategies, range frameworks, and data-driven insights with user needs across global markets.

You will work closely with commercial, data, engineering and capability stakeholders to secure that the product delivers real business value, supports business direction, and enables markets to make confident, strategic range decisions.

Your key responsibilities include

– Leading the digital product development to ensure the products you are responsible for, support IKEA’s Omnichannel retail strategy and capability ambitions.

– Owning the product vision and roadmap, defining clear priorities, goals and ways of working.

– Collaborating with markets, commercial functions, and digital teams to align product needs with business outcomes and range direction.

– Ensuring user-centric development by gathering insights from users and stakeholders to shape product decisions and maximise business value.

– Driving continuous improvement and adopting best practices in digital product management, agile development and data-informed decision-making.

– Managing budgets and resources, including financial planning, prioritisation and cost control.

– Overseeing the definition of success metrics, performance follow-up, and product documentation.

About you

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Product Leader with a strong background in digital product management. You have a passion for creating business value, leading high-performing teams, and navigating complex digital ecosystems within a global retail environment.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Extensive experience with holding a Product Leader or Product Manager role within IKEA.
• Extensive experience in software engineering and data architecture.
• Hands-on experience in building data products and infrastructure aligned with data mesh principles.
• Strong familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
• Experience in agile and domain-driven product development.
• Strong ability to lead, inspire, and empower team members while delivering with speed and employing an agile approach to development, both internally and externally
• Serve as an ambassador for agile practices and product culture within your team and across teams
• Experience working with and understanding the needs of customers or clients (internal or external)
• Proven analytical skills and experience making decisions based on hard and soft data
• Strong ability to communicate and create trustful relationships in collaborative processes as well as visualising concepts and ideas
• Ability to handle complexity and solve problems through simplicity
• Passionate about technology and trends that create better solutions and bring business and user value
• High entrepreneurial drive: Stretching boundaries, challenging what already exists, always striving to develop a better digital landscape

This is a full-time role, based in Malmö, Sweden reporting to the Merchandise & Commercial Planning Manager.
